In the scope of its ethical criteria and culture of environmental sustainability, AlgaEnergy has joined Sigfito Agroenvases, a non-profit company created with the aim to organize a collection system for agricultural packaging, in order to give them a correct environmental treatment.
Although AlgaEnergy is not legally obliged to establish a Deposit, Return and Return System for its containers, due to the fact that it does not commercialize phytosanitary products but rather agricultural nutrition products and mainly its biostimulants, the Management Team of AlgaEnergy has considered that is an inescapable environmental responsibility to provide the customers with the means to properly manage their obsolete agricultural containers.

Sigfito Agroenvases was born as an initiative of the manufacturers and packers of phytosanitary products that, like the merchants of these products, are bound by the development of Law 11/97 and Royal Decree 1416/2001, to establish a Deposit System, Return and Return (SDDR) - for which they had to charge their customers, to the final consumer, an amount for each package sold, accept the return of these packages once consumed and return that amount - or exempt from the above by participating in a System Integrated Management (GIS) such as SIGFITO.
This system has a dual purpose: on the one hand, it facilitates to collectives (bottlers, distributors, farmers) to comply with the obligations regarding the residues of agricultural phytosanitary packaging, avoiding possible sanctions. On the other hand, it helps preserve the environment and promotes the sustainable development of agriculture.

Following an extensive restructuring, AlgaEnergy is proud to partner with DE SANGOSSE Group through a soon to be finalized deal that will enable a concentrated focus on its agricultural markets. Previous business verticals including cosmetics, bioenergy, aquaculture and nutraceuticals will be discontinued, allowing a single-minded focus on solutions for agricultural markets, specifically agribiological inputs (biostimulants, biofertilizers and biocontrol).
