Manifesto AlgaEnergy: innovation against the pandemic
23 April, 2020At AlgaEnergy we have always had a long-term vision, and we are convinced that only through innovation will we be able to move forward strengthened and generate a more prosperous country, more sustainable development and a better world.
COVID-19 has significantly affected AlgaEnergy, like all companies and in particular SMEs. In times of crisis, innovation suffers the most, while forecasts and budgets become short-term. At AlgaEnergy we have always had a long-term vision, and we are convinced that only through innovation -which often arises out of necessity-, will we be able to move forward strengthened and generate a more prosperous country, more sustainable development and a better world.
In this sense, we flatly refuse to be dictated by pessimism, on the contrary, we have put in place a package of measures -Manifesto AlgaEnergy- so that the crisis does not stop us, which we share in the hope of being able to inspire other innovative SMEs.
COVID-19 affects us all, but together we can stop it. At AlgaEnergy we are convinced of it, and so we contribute with everything within our reach. If we all maintain this attitude, we will overcome this situation quicker and with greater guarantees of success.

AlgaEnergy about to successfully complete its restructuring process through the sale and incorporation of its agricultural business unit into the multinational DE SANGOSSE
Following an extensive restructuring, AlgaEnergy is proud to partner with DE SANGOSSE Group through a soon to be finalized deal that will enable a concentrated focus on its agricultural markets. Previous business verticals including cosmetics, bioenergy, aquaculture and nutraceuticals will be discontinued, allowing a single-minded focus on solutions for agricultural markets, specifically agribiological inputs (biostimulants, biofertilizers and biocontrol).

On November 16th, 2022 open voting for the Board of Directors of the European Biostimulants Industry Council (EBIC) took place, resulting in the election of AlgaEnergy’s Managing Director – Carlos Rodríguez-Villa as Vice President of the board – with 95 percent of the participatory vote.
