On February 25th, the Spanish economic information newspaper ‘El Economista’ published an extensive interview with AlgaEnergy’s President Augusto Rodríguez-Villa on its digital version. Resulting from the opening of its first subsidiary outside of Spain in Japan, and focused on the internationalization plans in which the biotechnology company is currently immersed, the interview reviews the reasons for the opening in the Asian country and plans for the coming years.
In this sense, Rodríguez-Villa points out that "in general terms, our future plans involve extrapolating the success we are obtaining in many different types of crops from our range of microalgae-based biostimulants AgriAlgae® to other sectors in which microalgae also have an immense application potential, such as human and animal nutrition, cosmetics, aquaculture, pharmacy and, in the future, energy".
