The event, sponsored by AlgaEnergy and organized by CSIC, Biovegen and CEOE, took place at the CEOE's headquarters.
AlgaEnergy has participated in the Conference 'CSIC-COMPANIES: technology at the service of agriculture' which was organized by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Spanish Technology Platform for Plant Biotechnology (BIOVEGEN) and the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations (CEOE) and took place on the 26th November at the headquarters of the CEOE in Madrid. The meeting, which sought the interaction and generation of synergies between researchers, companies and managers of R&D financing programs, served to enhance the value of technology and its fundamental role in promoting a more sustainable agriculture.
Within this unique framework, AlgaEnergy, which sponsored the conference, participated with a presentation given by the company’s President, Augusto Rodríguez-Villa, in which he presented the numerous properties of the microalgae to the nearly 200 attendees and the innovative and effective solutions that microalgae offer to respond to the great challenges the agricultural sector is facing.
In this way, attendees were able to discover all the benefits that microalgae are already contributing to agriculture and the advantages that the range of biostimulants AgriAlgae® offer, such as increasing crops’ yields, optimizing qualitative traits of fruits and vegetables and reinforcing stress resistance. These benefits translate into a greater profitability for the farmer. Furthermore, an additional benefit of AgriAlgae® is that by using it the farmer is responsible for the elimination of 2 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere for every 5 liters of AgriAlgae® he or she uses.
In conclusion, Augusto Rodríguez-Villa wanted to highlight the cordial, effective and long experience of AlgaEnergy in the collaboration carried out with a multitude of public entities, in the field of research, as well as in the benefits whose results have facilitated the nearly 150 consortiums that have participated -or are currently participating- in the R&D programs led by the company or in which it participates as the only microalgae company.
