We are thrilled to announce that Bachar Blal, AlgaEnergy's Managing Director for France, has been elected as the Deputy Treasurer of ABBA, reinforcing AlgaEnergy's commitment to industry progress and sustainability.
ABBA's Mission: Pioneering Agribusiness Innovation in France and Abroad
This French initiative is at the forefront of the Grand Défi biocontrôle et biostimulation pour l'Agroécologie, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty. At its core, ABBA is dedicated to reducing chemical pesticide use in Europe by 50% by 2030, with collaborative efforts spanning the entire agricultural value chain. With strategic financial backing of 42 million euros from the National Research Agency and an additional 18 million euros from private entities over the next six years, ABBA aims to develop and diversify biocontrol and biostimulation biosolutions, aligning them with broader strategies for agroecological plant protection.

AlgaEnergy reinforces its commitment to soil health through its active participation in the Microbiome International Congress 2023
The Microbiome Congress is Europe's most prominent event focused on the utilization and application of microorganisms. AlgaEnergy about to successfully complete its restructuring process through the sale and incorporation of its agricultural business unit into the multinational DE SANGOSSE
Following an extensive restructuring, AlgaEnergy is proud to partner with DE SANGOSSE Group through a soon to be finalized deal that will enable a concentrated focus on its agricultural markets. Previous business verticals including cosmetics, bioenergy, aquaculture and nutraceuticals will be discontinued, allowing a single-minded focus on solutions for agricultural markets, specifically agribiological inputs (biostimulants, biofertilizers and biocontrol).
