Alcobendas City Council has awarded us with this award "which recognizes business excellence", delivered by the Mayor of Alcobendas, Aitor Retolaza.
The Alcobendas City Council delivered its ‘Alcobendas Leader’ Awards last Tuesday 25th of October, which have already been held three times and recognize business excellence, both in activities and managers who stand out for their drive for the economy and well-being of employees. More specifically, we were awarded in the Business and Sustainability category, "for implementing changes in management focused on meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), betting on sustainability as a basis for productivity." Our colleagues María Segura and Raschid Stoffel, Deputy Managing Director and Director of FoodTech at AlgaEnergy, respectively, were in charge of collecting the award from Aitor Retolaza, Mayor of Alcobendas.
Augusto Rodríguez-Villa, President of AlgaEnergy, pointed out that “acknowledgments like this encourage us to continue with the task, which is not always easy, of developing an activity that is beneficial for society and for the country's economy. This is what our company does every day, taking risks, but always with the desire to generate wealth and comfort around us. We are especially excited to receive this award in the city where we were born and where our headquarters are still located today”.
