The conference gathered the main players of the agri-food industry in the African continent.
AlgaEnergy has actively participated in the “16th New Ag International Conference”, which, organized by the editorial group New Ag International, took place from the 21st to 23rd of March in Nairobi, Kenya.
AlgaEnergy’s participation included a presentation held by Carlos Rodríguez-Villa, the company’s General Manager. Rodríguez-Villa highlighted in his presentation titled “Microalgae based biostimulants: an innovative, sustainable and effective solution for a cutting-edge agriculture”, the properties that make microalgae probably the best raw material to develop innovative, sustainable and highly efficient plant biostimulants. The advantages comprised in the range of microalgae derived biostimulants AgriAlgae®, such as increasing crops’ yields, optimizing qualitative traits of fruits and vegetables and reinforcing resistance against abiotic stress, translate into a greater profitability for the farmer.
Regarding the participation in this event of international relevance, Rodríguez-Villa highlighted that "our attendance demonstrates the interest of AlgaEnergy in the African continent, not only for its immense potential, but also because we are in a privileged position to offer an efficient solution that helps farmers to increase the performance of their crops. Although we are already in countries such as Morocco or South Africa, the potential of this market encourages us to continue considering the presence in this continent as one of our priorities".
More than 150 C-level professionals from the main fertilizing companies active in Africa were able to learn more about AlgaEnergy’s value proposition for a more sustainable and efficient agriculture.
