The Board of Directors of the business association has approved the incorporation of the biotechnology company to CEOE.
AlgaEnergy, leading international company in the microalgae biotechnology sector and its applications, has joined the Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain (CEOE) as an associate.
Since its creation in 1977, CEOE represents and defends the interests of Spanish companies. This employers' association brings together most of the companies and sole-proprietors in Spain, of all sizes and sectors of activity, through its grassroots associations, which make up a network of 240 business organizations. CEOE is the main interlocutor of companies in Spain with the Government, State agencies, trade unions, political parties and international institutions. In Europe, CEOE is an active part of Business Europe, which brings together business associations from all over the continent.
Antonio Garamendi, President of CEOE, has expressed his satisfaction with the entry of AlgaEnergy into the organization, which "by dedicating itself to a sector in which CEOE had no representatives, that of microalgae biotechnology, when this is a science and an industry in which our country is a world reference and AlgaEnergy its best international exponent. This satisfaction is greater from the moment in which we can contribute from CEOE to highlight the role of this sustainable activity as a necessary engine for the transition towards a circular and green economy”.
Regarding the incorporation of AlgaEnergy to CEOE, Augusto Rodríguez-Villa, President and founder of the biotechnology company, pointed out that "being part of CEOE is a great satisfaction for AlgaEnergy since the organization is the best interlocutor to represent our science and industry before public authorities and to value them as a generator of employment and socioeconomic progress in our country.”
