The newly created entity will be the catalyst and multiplier of the cosmetic sector in terms of innovation.
On September 30, Feeling Innovation was formally presented, a new entity that, promoted by the National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics (Stanpa), has been created in response to a need to catalyze, promote and accelerate innovation in the cosmetic sector. The event, which took place at the facilities of The Valley and was broadcast via streaming to more than 140 attendees -most of them Stanpa partners-, was presented by Val Díez, General Director of Stanpa, and had the participation of Verónica Fisas, President of Stanpa, Carlos Rodríguez-Villa, General Manager of AlgaEnergy, and Galo Gutiérrez Monzonís, General Director of Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises, an entity dependent on the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
AlgaEnergy was selected and invited by Stanpa to participate in the event as a clear example of a ‘highly innovative’ company and the potential of the sector. During his speech, Rodríguez-Villa shared his vision on the role that Feeling Innovation should play, from the experience of a biotechnology company that has a strong commitment to R&I since its foundation in 2007. Not in vain, its innovation network has more than 150 top-level international partners, with whom the company collaborates in more than 20 R&I projects.
Likewise, as a sign of the enormous potential for the development of the sector through innovation, the example of microalgae itself was given, a field in which Spain is a world reference. Due to its biodiverse, innovative, sustainable and highly effective nature, microalgae represent a unique opportunity to generate value in the sector. After all, MareVitae®, the new range of cosmetic solutions of AlgaEnergy, is the first brand in the world born to take advantage of the inexhaustible potential of microalgae related to nutrition and skin care, harmonizing a very solid scientific-technical basis, with an innovative commitment to the integration of sustainability in high-end cosmetics.
