Carlos Rodríguez-Villa, General Manager of AlgaEnergy, will participate in the panel ‘The rise of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) in Europe: New trends’.
Carlos Rodríguez-Villa, General Manager of AlgaEnergy, has been invited to participate in the European Innovation Council Summit 2021, the most relevant annual event organized by the European Innovation Council -an organism dependent on the European Commission in charge of promoting innovation-. It will take place on the 24th and 25th of November in Brussels in a hybrid onsite and online format. This event will offer a unique opportunity for European start-ups and innovators, in particular SMEs, researchers, corporates as well as potential investors and venture capitalists to connect and network.
Rodríguez-Villa will participate in the panel 'The rise of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) in Europe: New trends', where he will share AlgaEnergy’s experience with the more than 500 on-site attendees. Moderated by Kinga Stanislawska, member of the EIC Investment Fund Committee and co-founder of the leading Central European venture capital fund, Exterior VC. Two other top-level speakers, namely Suzanna Chiu (Head of Amadeus Ventures) and Geert van de Wouw (Managing Director of Shell Ventures) will participate in the panel.
The session, which will take place on the 25th at 12:15 pm, will seek to resolve doubts and dismantle myths around Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), as well as put in common the opportunities that it offers.
Mariya Gabriel, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth will officially launch the EIC Forum and announce the winners of the EIC Women Innovators Prize and the iCapital Award.
