Within the framework of World Environment Day, AseBio and the MNCN-CSIC organized a conference to bring more than 1,000 people closer to the role of science in protecting the planet.
AlgaEnergy, world leader in microalgae biotechnology, participated last 5th of June, within the framework of World Environment Day and Environment Week 2022, in an action organized by the Spanish Bioindustry Association (AseBio) and the National Museum of Natural Sciences to bring society closer to the role played by science, and more specifically biotechnology, in protecting the environment.
AlgaEnergy participated in this initiative by sending samples of the microalgae biomass, as well as the final products that the company develops with it, in order to publicize its products and the biotechnological process from its beginnings until reaching a concrete solution.
Ana Polanco, President of AseBio, has pointed out that “our partners are providing solutions against climate change, also contributing to achieving 13 of the 17 SDGs proposed by the United Nations. With the celebration of Environment Week 2022, we continue to take steps in the close collaboration we have with the National Museum of Natural Sciences with which we bring the work of our partners closer to society in general and to the younger generations in particular, for their high commitment to the environment and the future of the planet”.
Not surprisingly, biotechnology has a direct impact on at least 13 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and AseBio's member companies work every day to respond to climate change, one of the greatest challenges of our society.
