The purpose of this agreement is to reach all famers across Spain and Portugal, in order to offer to them the range of innovative and sustainable biostimulants AgriAlgae®.

AlgaEnergy, the biotechnology-based company of reference specialized in the field of microalgae, and DF Grupo, the leading company in the distribution of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs in Spain and Portugal, have created the joint venture named DF MicroAlgae, S.L. The mission of DF Microalgae is the commercialization of AgriAlgae®, the range of agricultural biostimulants developed by AlgaEnergy based on an optimized combination of different own cultured microalgae species.

The agreement seeks to put in value the great synergies shared by both companies, leaders in their respective fields. On the one hand, AlgaEnergy provides its demonstrated scientific capacity, pioneering technologies, its range of agricultural biostimulants and a pipeline of future innovative products. On the other hand, DF Grupo provides the positioning as market leader, the distribution structure, the knowledge and the experience accrued in over three decades in the Iberian market. The purpose of this agreement is to reach all famers across Spain and Portugal, in order to offer to them the range of innovative and sustainable biostimulants AgriAlgae®, whose efficiency and extraordinary benefits have been widely certified. The aforementioned agreement has been signed by Carlos Delso Ibáñez, General Manager of DF Grupo, together with AlgaEnergy’s President, Augusto Rodríguez-Villa.

In this scope, Augusto Rodríguez-Villa highlighted that "this agreement is the best possible partnership in order to make our innovative and efficient products accessible for any Spanish and Portuguese farmer, undoubtedly contributing to optimize his crops’ yields, both in quantitative and qualitative terms. As a consequence, it translates into a higher profitability and increased competitiveness”, he added.

On the other hand, Carlos Delso emphasized that "AlgaEnergy and DF Grupo share the same philosophy and values, therefore, this collaboration agreement is a natural consequence of two leading companies in their respective fields joining their efforts. The leadership of DF Group in the agricultural sector in the Iberian Peninsula will put AgriAlgae® in a privileged position, which our farmers will surely benefit from".
